Our Fraternity started off 2026 with a gift of two Professed members. as we welcomed Dwight Delahunt and Edgar Piol. The Rite of Profession was held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Ottawa, on January 3, 2026.

On the evening of October 3, 2025, some members of St Francis of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Secular Franciscan Fraternity joined our francophone brothers and sisters at St. Francois d’Assise Church in Ottawa to celebrate the Transitus. Declared a Heritage structure, the church was built in 1915 and has been continuously served by the OFM Capuchins since that time.

The OFS were present and counted at the Truth and Reconciliation Mass celebrated at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Ottawa on September 30, 2025.

Members of the St. Francis of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Fraternity  celebrated their Elective Chapter on June 21, 2025. Members thanked their exiting Council for their hard work (Below: Ricardo and Lesley Santiago, Patrick Denison, Les MacFarlane, and Joan Moran). Fraternity members then welcomed their new Council (On Left: Patrick Denison, Michel David, Joan Moran, and Carol David. Missing from picture: John Moran and Friar Moe).
